The concept of Sacred Treasures is deeply rooted in the conflict between the Goddess Clan, the Demon Clan, and humanity. Unlike Excalibur—originally created by the Demon King, then purified and repurposed by the Goddess Clan as a vessel to seal great evils and passed down to Arthur—the Sacred Treasures were directly forged by the Demon King himself and later bestowed upon the Seven Deadly Sins as a mark of their service to him. Each Sin wields their own unique treasure, such as Meliodas's Lostvayne or Escanor's Rhitta, though these weapons are not always retained: Lostvayne was taken by Fraudrin before being recovered, and Rhitta was temporarily lost after Escanor's death. The Goddess Clan did not guard these treasures; instead, the Sins carry them as symbols of their covenant and power.
